Payment

We can accept payment in a few ways; they include cash, Cheque and credit card (credit card payments are subject to a 6.5% charge).

We also offer an account service to both individuals and companies subject to status. All accounts must be paid in full, 30 days from the date of the invoice being issued. Any discounts which are offered will be agreed before any journey has been taken.  This way you know exactly how much your journey will take.

 

Insurance

All drivers and their vehicles are insured to the specified standard.  The insurance covers private hire and public liabilities insurance.  Each vehicle is insured to carry a specific number of people; we will not exceed this number under any circumstances.  1stCall Cars has an operators license and is fully licensed to take bookings.

 

Cancellations

1stCall Cars request at least 12 hours notice to cancel a collection prior to the collection time.  If the collection is cancelled with less than 12 hours notice, half the original fare will be charged.

 

Soiling

If any soiling occurs the individual or company that has booked the car will be liable for any charge for the cleaning of the car and any loss of earnings if the car is unusable for the next client.

If the driver feels any passenger is unfit to travel in his or her vehicle, then the driver has the right to refuse to take that passenger and/or the fellow passengers.

 

Damage

If any damage is caused to the vehicle by any passenger, the individual or company that has booked the car will be liable for any charge for the repair to the vehicle.

 

Smoking

1stCall Cars have a NO SMOKING policy in any vehicle.  If the driver chooses to allow you to smoke in the vehicle it is at his or her discretion.  1stCall Cars takes no responsibility for any damage caused due to smoking in any vehicle.  The driver and the booking passenger will need to come to an agreement on any compensation necessary due to damage caused to his or her vehicle through smoking within the vehicle.

If necessary the driver will stop for a short break at your request.

 

Food and Drink within the vehicles

1stCall Cars has a no eating or drinking policy within the vehicle that you are travelling in.  If the driver chooses to allow you to eat or drink in the vehicle then this is at his or her discretion.  1stCall Cars takes no responsibility for any damage caused due to eating or drinking in any vehicle.  The driver and the booking passenger will need to come to an agreement on any compensation necessary due to damage caused to his or her vehicle through eating or drinking within the vehicle.

 

On Route Problems

If in the unlikely event that the vehicle you are travelling in brakes down, we will do all we can to get a replacement vehicle to you so you can get to your destination as soon as possible.  1stCall Cars can not be responsible for any missed flights due to breakdowns of any nature.  Drivers do all they can to ensure the vehicles are maintained to a high standard.  No refund or discount will be offered in the event of a breakdown.
